Fullhouse !!

A Cafe at Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara.

A very nicely decorated cafe, garden concept at the outside and English-like concept at the inside.

Delicious menu to choose from. All dishes ordered taste superb! We ordered:

Chicken chop

Sphagetti (tomato sause)

Sphagetti (tiny cockles)

Korean noodle

Rib-eye

The selection of drinks are colourful and taste great. We tried :

Vanilla Kiwi Yogurt ice blend

Red Honeydew Peach ice blend

Price? It was reasonable priced.

We definitely come for other selection food & drinks!

It has been many months since I was invited to a friend's wedding.

This time a wedding invitation to a friend's daughter's wedding. Time really flies!

This invitation is a must to attend because it's a new collegue that I met at office and few months later he retired. He was a kind man.

It was his first children wedding and her daughter is to wed a pilot from the air forces. Men in uniform always gives me that rise-eyebrow smiles.

The special event is set at Bangi Golf resort. Ample of parking space and buggy ride to service is ready to pick you up and off to the event main hall. What an experience!

The food served was superb! I can still imagine the taste. Served food was nasi kenduri, daging kurma, ayam masak merah, sayur dalca, pecal nenas and watermelon. The food taste great!

Hope to attend more wedding invitation with great friends, venue and food.

We had an outdoor activity recently to get together among working colleques.

One of the activity is to fish can as many as you can within 5 minutes.

It is a simple game but can be tricky especially with shakey hands.

You can have this games with kids, of course with adults supervision.

A string, nail and a can is all you need! It is fun!

My mom loves cockals. We buy fresh from the market, rinse off dirt and sand before we steam the shells.

Remove the flesh from the shell and eat them! Dip in chilly sauce will be great!

You can use cockal flesh for fried rice, noodle or vegetables. They add taste to the dishes!

Try them, you will love them.

It is a huge park! But I reckon 10 years ago this place is super cool for both adults and kids.

If you have young kids, this place is acceptable for them to run around free and play one or two rides. Otherwise, dont bother.

If adults were to visit, it takes max 1 hour to tour. With kids, we took 3 hours! Kids love the playground.

Satay! Its meat grilled over charcoal fire! Delicious when served hot.

Alternatively, use chicken meat, faster cooking compared to beef. And dip into peanut sauce, heaven!

Since it's boneless chicken, it's easy food to eat by old citizen and baby.

Cupcakes oh cupcakes...

We see cupcakes during tea time. Now there are eaten 24/7!

Cupcakes used to be grandma/mom's best cakes, now it is sold at all bakery stalls!

Not all cupcakes taste great. Some had to much of sweet icing!

I liked Kenny Roger's corn cupcakes. They are the best! Still the best!

Pretty Yasmine

Our Yasmine is pretty herself and she can be adorable at times! Learning to take care herself shows signs of maturity.

I felt energetic and started climb the stairs (instead the lift) up to 9 floors!! And was so proud to do it in a minute - walking !

Though I was short of breath but felt so amazed with my little achievement.

My horror came the next day, Saturday morning at 10 am. Suddenly the back muscle feels unease and I could not stand properly. Soon I realised my backache reccurs!

I had no choice to see a GP for painkiller tablets and patches. The cold weather made the recovery slow.

A one week rest at home should help to heal the muscle spasm. Now, I need to do some physio exercise and apply hot packs at stiff muscles.

Be gentle when I start work again!

Fasting month just started and people are already looking Raya clothes, cookies, new shoes and matching bags!

Little did we know that my aunt sells cookies for raya. And she bakes very very nice sunflower tart.

I am particularly fond of traditional cookies. Only when it taste right will I eat and buy.

At an instance, I love my aunt tart. The batter texture just nice and the pineapple taste sweet fruit. A pleasure eating!

Maybe next year I will help my aunt sell her cookies. It will be fun!

Haj season is over and Henna is often given as a souvenirs to relatives and friends.

Henna is a colouring made from Henna leaves. Traditionally, you pluck some Henna leaves, pound it and add vinegar/oil. Place the pounded mould on your hair or fingers, leave it overnight for long lasting effect.

This Henna is handy, it comes in tube form, like a tooth paste, just black-red colour. You squeeze small amount on your fingernails, let it dry 30 minutes to one hour. Wash it off - simple!

It is not customary for us to buy gifts for Christmas, but there are many cute items for sale during Christmas.

While we gazed through items for sale, we found cute big mugs. We bought the followings:

1. Superman and Superwoman mugs

- this is for Zied's birthday present

- I know Zied's seldom have hot drink, may if she needs one, there is a mug ready for her!

2. Grandma and Granddad

- we thought it would be nice to buy a pair of mugs for our parents

- both sides got a pair

3. Mum's hot and Cool dad

- obviously we bought one for ourselves !

- I am sooo full when I drink using this mug (so can you image hot deep is the mug)

Maybe, next time I will find smaller mugs for my 3 kids... hehehe

Buffet at Crowne Plaza

We always have dinner buffet at Crowne Plaza. It is value for money buffet compare to other places. Since it is still Christmas season, restaurant offers Turkey roast for buffet. Both my dad and mom jumped for the thigh - it is huge!

This is Nurd's first time and he was amazed with the seafood selections. He bravely tried oyster !

Most of us had fun eating ABC and ice cream !

One thing for sure, we ate and ate till the restaurant closes - HAHA!

We decided to trim Deena's baby hair. Deena was calm when we trimmed her hair; but it was not easy to trim her hair as it was so fine and soft.

Slow and steady, we managed to trim her hair and quickly give her a bath. Deena loves to have a bath.

It was a great timing - there was not much crowd and the weather is kind. We get to buy tickets at a discount if we produce our mykad. And we were given a cool water resistant wrist "watch" instead the norm wrist band.

Upon entry, no food or drink is allowed, if you have water bottle, you have to empty them first. There are water cooler at the park for you to replenish your water bottle.

We first tried the merry-go-round ride. It was my first (as an adult, never ride one when Im small) and first for the kids. Kids love it, I felt dizzy a bit.

Then Zied (my sister) tried the boat-swing that swung 360 degree! Zied's face was first flush red, then pink pale but she turn out fine after the ride.

After the dry park, we rushed to wet park to enjoy the swim. The best part is when we rented a double-float and all 5 adults, 2 kids have a ride in the moving-stream. It was fun fun fun wet wet wet !!!

Suddenly, lightning strike and all visitors are rushed to safety. It was fun fun fun.

Next time (if there is one), we plan to go sky glyding and more dry park rides !

We decided to go to Alamanda for Christmas ?!

haha, my dad thought he could eat turkey on Christmas day, so after window shopping, we decided to have early lunch at 11.30 am!

We were the first customer for the day and we ordered what sounds nice (we did not know what to order) and the food arrived by 12 pm. Apparently their supplier is late (no raindeer?).

We ordered peri-peri chicken which was the least hot so that kids can enjoy eating with us. Apparently our chicken were tagged as "not so brave" chicken !

Both my mom and dad love their christmas lunch! We all did!

My boss bought lime plant (I think) which looks like mini pine tree. It was supposedly bushy green and healthy. Somehow, it dried dead in the office, but the bark is still strong standing.

My boss still keeps the plant for I was eyeing on the nice white vase - even offered to clear the plant for him! Anyway, the plant is still standing strong in his office.

As Christmas season is approaching, some sweet samaritans decorated the plant which is now looks cute and alive!

Yasmine is very creative when it comes to paper cuttings.

One morning, she took A4 paper, sat at the end of the bed and start drawing. Later asked for a scissors. It took her awhile to twist and turn the paper and deny my assistance.

Once ready, she showed me and we pasted on the wall.

Christmas at Pavillion

It was a cool night and we decided to visit Pavillion's latest decor for Christmas. After dinner, we rushed to the mall and gazed at the many many beautiful Christmas decor and trees.

Kids love the decor and many tourist snapped photos at almost every angle of the mall. The main attraction would be the centre of the mall and in front of the mall.

Outside, "snow tropic" theme spells winter in asia hot climate. They spray bubble at 8 pm to delight the visitors. The kids were amazed by the neon lights and wishing well/fountain.

You have to be there to experience the "snow tropic". It is beautiful.

Seriously - this was my upset visit!

We were so excited to visit the Science centre, no doubt they had all the gadget / technlogy / some interactive games but the place is POORly maintained! Dust here and there, carpet is stained, some games are not functioning, no helpers and worst still no sanitizer!

Being kids, they just ran here and there, try this and that, touch here and there and had fun. As a parent, i see red alarm "cleanliness".

This centre is free admission but then again, it is national property, someone should take care the property.

p/s: Petrosains is sooo much better, though you need to pay a small fee, it is worth the visit as it is clean, there are helpers around and gadgets are working well.

This is a good read for everybody! Be it a daughter, wife or mother -- it changes your perspective of life.

I managed to work 2 weeks after my maternity leave when suddenly my back hurts so much! I could barely straighten my back, it was crazy painful!

We went to GP and got a referral to see Doc Zul, an orthopedic specialist at GEMC. He does not seem shock to learn my injury but apparently it is common among nursing mothers. Ghee....my body is still weak and most probably I did not maintain a good posture that had cause such injury.

I was given 2 painkillers, Acustop plaster and to attend physiotherapy sessions. The therapy sessions was pleasant. I went for Heat treatment, Ultrasound treatment and Hot Pack treatment. About 15 minutes each treatment.

Heat -- to loosen my muscle

Ultrasound -- to heal my injury

Hot pack -- to reduce swellness

After these treatment, I was given an exercise to strenghten my back muscle. So far 5 exercises I learnt.

Stomach crunch - lay on back, knee up, a fist apart, crunch stomach, continue breathing, 10 counts.

Lift leg - lay on chest, pillow on chest and tummy, raise leg, 10 counts

Lift chest - lay on chest, no pillow, arm at side body, raise chest, head down, 10 counts

Lift buttock - lay on back, knee up, a fist apart, raise butt and halt, 10 counts

Arch spine - same position as lift buttock, but now arch your spine (not body)

These are simple, but when your muscles are injury, they are damn hard to dooo....

Smart Reader 2009 Concert

This year concert is held at Menara Yayasan Tun Razak. The building house a bank, other offices and conference hall. SRK Kg Pandan and SRK Desa Pandan combine effort to make a grand concert.

The show starts on time and every performance went well. Haleef did his Chinese dance effortlessly. This time he is not overshadowed by tall friends.

Food served were simple and easy for the kids to eat. The show ended at noon and we rush home for a good lunch.

Kudos for all that put hardwork to make the concert a success!

It was PC fair time and we decided to make a quick visit at KL Convention Centre.

There are many people and the human traffic is chaos! There were many sales person shouting high and low to attract customers. They even dress in same colour codes eg Blue=Celcom, Yellow=Digi, Black=Telekom etc etc.

We already know what to get and just need to confirm few minor details. Eventually we bought what we wanted and here is the pic. We choose black colour from variety of colours eg white, silver and special edition skins (eg Mickey mouse, flowers etc etc)

We try to have a family vacation once a year. Since Yasmine has started Year One this year, obviously the vacation must falls on schools break. But all hotels are booked during school break and both my HB and myself have limited time to plan and take leave.

The prime attention of having a vacation is to get away, sleep in the hotel and swim in nice swimming pool. Later we thought of trying city vacation ie doing all the above but in town area. It is a good idea.

So we book 3D2N at Mandarin Oriental Hotel KL, a superb hotel next to KLCC. A convenient location to find food and entertainment.

Our room is facing the city centre ie KLCC. The room is spacious which can cater for extra bed and baby cot. It also has a sofa which is very comfortable. We love the washroom - the setting is to die for and amazingly it does not have a lock.

I love the swimming pool. It is upto 1.2 metre deep, suitable for family vacation. Kids love the pool. We also tried the Jacuzi.

Bumble Bee Play Pen

We decided to buy a play pen for baby Deena. We placed it in the middle of the house so that should baby Deena makes some noise, we can hear her clearly. Before this, baby Deena stays in her baby cot in my room. But since my room is in front of the house, we could vividly hear baby Deena's cry.

Quite simple to set it up and it is steady as well.

So far baby Deena is comfortable with her new play pen.

After 6 weeks of delivery, I have a doc appointment for post natal check-up.

Basically doc will check if my womb is in place and that my epi is sealed properly.

Afterwhich, I do my pap smear test.

Pap smear needs to be done on annual basis to prevent from cervical cancer. Have you done yours?

Before we leave, I took doc photo with baby Deena. My doc name is Dr Nooraini Kassim.

Baby Deena is due for the one month jab!

While waiting for the afternoon doc appointment, we practise placing baby Deena in the baby basket. Thanked god she looks comfortable.

The baby basket will be placed in the car during travelling.

Once we reached the hospital, baby Deena will be transported via baby stroller.

You should see, there are so many baby stroller in the market!

It is almost dinner time and I am craving for some cakes, but it is too late to go out and buy one.

Only then I remembered that I have simple cake receipe.

I only need 3 eggs, flour, baking powder, sugar and vanilla essence. Beat them all and steam for 15 minutes.

I should put some colours but at least it taste right!

Pink Baby Clothes

Both my hubby and me avoid buying PINK baby clothes. It is too girlish.

Maybe it is our nature not too fancy about pink colours.

But, we do expect some parents LOVES pink so much!

Oh well, sometimes, when you try very hard not to buy pink clothes, it turn out you still have one because it is a gift from friends.

So, Deena's has her very own first PINK clothes to remember! hehehe

First Baby Bath

It is Deena's first baby bath!

The grandma decided to demonstrate baby bath at the kitchen! hahaha

Things required: Baby basin, baby bath liquid, handy cloth, towel, a set of clean clothes.

A room temperature water.

First, make sure the baby did not just had her milk, it will vomit if too much movement. (baby's stomach is small). Remove the clothes gentle and clean the baby (if it had urinated or BO).

Next, dampen the baby's body with wet cloth (by doing this, baby will not get a rude shock when you bathe her) and slowly add soap to the cloth. Massage the soap on the baby, gently and quickly. We do not want the baby to shiver.

Lastly, rinse the baby in the basin. A quick front and back wash. The baby will keep quiet if she takes it well (ie likes to play water).

ING Go Green organised a learning trip for kids age 7 to 12 years old.

Yasmine had the opportunity to join the trip and experience socialising with other kids independently.

Each kids were given an Orange T-shirt. They had a bus trip to Lake Garden and had science experiement there. Yasmine did a "rocket" experiment. She had great time!

Later the kids were given food and drinks during lunch. Goody bag were given at end of day.

Haleef has 2 games to finish for his sports day events. He did well in the "puzzle" game and "sweep clean" game. The weather is really hot, but the teachers make sure the kids do not stay under the sun too often.

Parent are also invited to participate in sports event. Their game is "musical chair". It is hillarious to see mommys fight a seat of a small chair!

Confinement Set

This year is the first time Im having confinement in KL. Normally, I will go hometown in Batu Pahat, Johor, but since I have schooling kids, different arrangement is made.

Im lucky because my housing area has almost all facilities, including tukang urut or massuer.

We called Kak Tina (tukang Urut) and she is available to massage me for 3 days.

I have low pain treshold and very picky with "tukang urut". Luckily, kak Tina is gentle and all the bodyache gone by third massage. She also shares her tips on how to heal onself. My swollen feet cleared by 5th day!

Kak Tina uses Mustika Ratu confinement set to massage my body. Mind you the herbs smells! So put on your worn clothes in case the smell does not goes off after several wash.

Lastly, Kak Tina will put on the body wrap around the stomach area. This will help to keep the body fit, tummy in, slim and pelvic bone in-tact. The wrapper is available at local store.

I cannot wait for Kak Tina subsequent visit (this is optional, the basic is the first 3 days). You feel good the next day after the massage.

9 September 2009 Angel

A miracle is born on 9/9/09 at Sunway Medical Centre.

We named her Noera Deena.

She weighs 3.32kg (the heaviest among her siblings).

It was an easy early pregnancy with no morning sickness (that is why I myself did not notice I was pregnant then...). However, at 8 months, I began having gases, urine infection and false contraction. The feets start to swell badly and leg cramps develop at alternate nights.

Delivering the baby was quite easy. I was on induction (on drips) and it took me 2 hours to deliver the baby. It takes 3 pushes and all is done.

However, we are kept waited in the labour room for 3 hours because there was no room available. During the same day, there was 7 C-section in the morning. In total, there are 18 babies were born.

I was discharged on second day after get clearance from both my Gynae and Paed. Total bill was RM 3K+ for a single bed. The hospital service has improved so much over 5 years and all staffs are very helpful.

For now, Im nursing my baby with both breast milk and formula milk. Hope to continue the same when I start working.

I will be visiting my doc on the 6th weeks and hopefully all is fine.

It took us 5 months to send my laptop to HP service centre for repair. What went wrong? The LCD is not displaying anything and we assume it is broken. An estimated cost of RM800 is required.

Since Raya break is a week, my HB decided to make a quick visit at HP centre. To our shock, it just takes a few massage and my laptop is working fine! Not a penny to be spent!

So, here I am, online again with my blog. Hoping to share good moments and tips with all of you.

First week of May is Mother's day week.

It has been very hot weather for the past one week with no drop of rain. We decided to have a quick drive and spend a quick 2 hours in Alamanda to cool down.

We were at Cold Storage supermarket. I took dad for a stroll on his wheelchair while mom whisk around for anything "interesting".

Kids were having fun outside under the bamboo shades, picking dried leaves. Kids sure knows how to have fun despite the hot weather.

The bamboo trees are beautiful and dad wanted a photo by the shades. Do you love the bamboo tree?

Life has been very hectic indeed as we enter 2009.
It starts with my eldest daughter admission to Standard One and the whole house to change sleeping routine! Now we sleeps at 10 a night!

The one who stills enjoying or still moonlighting is the younger brother who starts kiddy class at 9 am!

Today I have the whole day ahead of me and there are so many things I want to do. So far, I had changed the curtains, do some paper filings and changed sofa cushion.

Of all the things to do, I just remembered, I have not done my Income Tax online submission. And I have no mood for that.

Oh well, next week is the dateline, see if I can complete it by then.
Till then, take care and hope to drop some more articles in future.

Super bowl at Times Square

It was our first group outing for the year. Afterwork, we took monorail and went to Time Square for bowling game. Most of us are first timer or had not had bowling game for ages.

We took 3 lanes for 11 players. It was no competition but just to get to know the game, have fun and enjoy the company.

Edwin Chang's Farewell

1. Good negotiation on the right price for his potential clients.

2. Great discussion with regards to Christian religion.

3. Understanding the complication of his wife's pregnancy.

His farewell was held at Nando's at Pavillion. During lunch, he gave some tips to become a leader and what a leader should do. A bizzare farewell speech.

Yasmine's First Day of School

Today is Yasmine's first day of school at SK Taman Maluri.

All of us were excited and anxious for the day. Yasmine is all set, dressed in her new school outfit, pink school bag and new pair of shoes.

Yasmine is in class 1 Rajin. Her class teacher's name is Nini. *giggle*

During public assembly, students are to queue according to their classes. Parents gather at the school gate. There was not enough space to squeeze everyone at the assembly spot.

Students are then ushered to their respective classes.

Yasmine got a good seat, in the middle, under the fan. She was quiet and shy.

Anxious / excited parents peek their kids via class windows and class front door ! Some parents are actually in the class !

We waited at the canteen and let Yasmine digest her new friends, teacher and school.

Yasmine first day of school went well. We are proud of Yasmine as she did not shed any tears !

Makes Life Easier

I seldom wear white T-shirt as it gets dirty easily.
Once a while, when you wear one, you feel good that you put on a fresh white-T (though the T has been sitting in your closed for months!)

I put on a white-T with wordings wrapped from front to back. It says; Makes Life Easier ....easier is at the back.

My son thought the wordings are cute as it wraps the body and starts reading it loudly.

Damai Laut - Post mortem

We like Damai Laut because it is far far away and has a nice pool and clean beach.

However, we noticed (in our opinions) few things that gets tumbs-up and down..

Most Improved area:
1. New paintwork and renovated rooms
2. Signage toward Damai Laut made travelling easier
3. Nice and colourful landscapes
4. Warm towel at poolside

Areas to be improved on:
1. Complimentary newspapers are available at the lobby -- there should have a notice on this matter
2. WiFi usage is chargable -- should make if FOC since we are far from town
3. More buffet menu -- especially for kids
4. Roomservice -- try to be pleasant though it is peak time
5. Gift shop -- sell more souveniers and make better gifts arrangement
6. Please do not serve with chipped coffee cups/cereal bowls

Damai Laut - Day 3

Since breakfast ends at 10.30am and check-out is at 12.00am, we decided NOT to swimming - yeah !

Not to disappoint the kids, we decided to go to the beach, collect some shells.

The weather is very kind and windy. There are water activities complimentary of the hotel but we did not take up as our kids are too small.

A quick check-out and we are on the road again home. The signage is everywhere and we soon reach Bidor tol station. Ease ourselves and do some prayers, we continue our journey home.

The traffic is good and we reach home by 5.30 pm. We stop by our local stall and had chicken rice for lunch !

Damai Laut - Day 2

It was not easy to wake-up early in the morning, esp after 2 hours of swim and cool rainy night. We quickly wash up and head for breakfast - yummy!

Later, we rush to our room, get change and jump into the pool. This time, the kids are braver, they know how to move around with their float. We got scolded for holding/pushing the float for them ....ceh...

We swam for 2 hours and headed to our room. Change again and off to nearest town for lunch. All back passengers are asleep (including ME!) by the time we reach the town hehehe .... We bought packed rice and some banana and tapioca fritters.

We rested awhile after our lunch, before proceeding to the pool. Swimming is like a marathon !

But the swim was short-lived when it starts to rain again..

We went to room and had an early dinner. After dinner, we sat at the poolside, enjoy the night breeze, listen to some music and watch our kids play.

By 10pm, we made move to our room and watch TV. Alas....get to rest the feet!

Damai Laut - Day 1

This is our second visit to Damai Laut.

So much of fun memories especially when NY was still small. There were 3 of us, then.

This time there are 4 of us and NH is excited!

It is a windy day and kids love the sea breeze. We quickly check-in our room 152 garden view. Done with our prayers and lunch, we changed into our swimwear. Kids love their colorful floats.

After 2 hours of swimming, we went to our room, get changed for dinner time. Kids are still shivering after long stay in the pool.

We had buffet - Yes ! RM 55 for adult and RM 10 kids (>4 YO). We had fresh made pizzas (tomato and pineapple), pasta, steak, cakes and coffee.

Kids are really tired and sleepy. We end the day early.

Later at night, it starts to rain till 9 am.

Rear Passanger Seatbelt

Before we start our long journey, I had to sit at the back and make sure the kids fasten their seatbelts. It is NOT easy !

I have to distract them to reading books, do some puzzle, play mobile games etc etc.

Come to a point, all back passangers are asleep (including ME!)

There are nice kampung view during the journey - coconut orchid, paddy field. We saw places where they build ships, nice bridges and Dragon fruit farm.

Almost reaching our destination, we stop by to buy some bananas.

We did not miss a turn and reach Damai Laut timely, thanks to Google Map. My HB view it via SonyE M600 mobile.

Yup - we are still working because it is month end closing. We rush the necessary, skip lunch because IT system is down at 3 pm.

Afterwhich, we adjourned to Sg Wang and head straight to Johnny Steamboat !

There are 9 of us and all are starving.

Tom Yam soup is poured into the steam bowl and set to boil. At the same time, we drop in fish balls, fish cakes, dumplings, prawns, crab meats etc etc. Once boiled, each of us take our portion and gobble the food!

It is super HOT as it just came out from boil !

Lastly, after all the goodies are eaten, we crack 2 eggs and eat them half-cook (do not stir the eggs while cooking).

We bade farewell to each other for the nice lunch and off home damn-full.

We went to Isetan Lot 10 to find my swimwear.

Got it, love it, pay for it.

Before exiting, we went to I-club centre to redeem free parking. Apparently early birds will get a pack of The Loaf biscuit !

The Loaf biscuits are nice and expensive (off course lar...). This one looks like "roti gula" but nice presentation. I think the bread has some red bean ingredient.

I tried eating slowly but still finish the biscuit in a day! aiya....

We decided to dress in baby blue color clothes....for FUN!

We wanted to buys some swimwear clothing for our year end holiday...yipee!

We are delighted to see KLCC Christmas deco is complete and beautiful. Huge christmaas tree is set with crystal, silver dangglings and red ribbons.

The christmas booth is set like gift boxes - so cute!

Both KLCC wings are decorated with floated gift boxes ....so magical !

December kids often do not get the chance to celebrate their birthday with friends, as December is month of school holidays. Hopefully in next years to come, we get to celebrate each others's birthday in office.

Undergarment day

I went shopping today and first in the list is to find new undergarments for the family !

Firstly, the ladies department. My oh my, there are many choice of colours, designs and labels. I would normally go to my favourite garment. Managed to get 3 new colorful pieces.

Next, the kids section. I bought my son Hot Wheels collection. It comes in 3 bright strong manly colours ...hehe vroommm..... My sweet girl gets 3 girlish colourful panty for the new year!

This is my first time buying my HB's brief alone! I bravely went through men's dept and look for cool briefs. There are many briefs...colourful and have many funny designs..hehehe... Finally I bought him a decent one from London. Hope he likes it.

My HB is outstation and the kids get to sleep with me. My son decided to sleep at his own room.

Before sleeping, I would normally recite some prayers, and off to bed.
But yesterday, I decided to pop some Q to my little girl. Briefly as below:

DD: NY, you LOVE mama because....
NY: You a girl...
DD: NY, you love mama because .....SOMEMORE...
NY: You bring me swimming
DD: somemore....
NY: You nice..etc etc

Then, I purposely ask the followings...
DD: NY, you do not like mama because...
NY: Mama always angry
DD: OK...you do not like mama because....somemore...
NY: Mama lets NH watch CH613, NY wants to watch CH612.
DD: somemore....
NY: etc etc

From these girls' talk, I learned that my girl wants attention. I do appreciate her honesty and try my best to be the best MOM my kids can have.

Croc Shoe Tragedy

I was happily window shopping at KLCC today when suddenly the escalator broke down.

I tot it was worthwhile waiting but the legs are too tired to stand still. I decided to climb the escalator steps as what the others did. At the top, I could not stop SMILLING.

I learned that the escalator was jammed because an adult croc shoe got stuck in between 2 steps. HAHAHA

Quietly, without the security officer noticing me, I took a snap of the culprit !

For me, Liz is known for her chirpy and endless perfume-party invitations.

A cake is made for Liz and we wished her abundance of joy and relaxation during her "off day".

Seriously ! I did not know that croc shoe has accessories...where the heck can that be ??

True enough, a friend of mine came from Lot10, happily showed me her croc shoe's accessories, which I calls it "button". It is so cute !!!

It is easy to fix and Im sure there are plenty of characters to be chosen from.

Eversince I knew about this "button"...at everytime someone wears croc shoes...I would scrutinise the shoes to check-out the cute stuff fixed to it.

Today at Tesco, I saw a guy with "aligator" button....so cute !!

Reflexology massage on CFC day

Our booth organise a reflexology massage during Chances with Children day. I was one of the committee member and thought that I would not have the time to try it.

However, during the kids' game (which was supervised by other committee), I decided to squeeze 20 min and try it.

The massager are blind ladies. However, the lady who massage my feet does not look like one. Anyway, I already pre-warn her to be EXTRA GENTLE when massaging my feet.

She uses plastic gloves and apply lotion to smoothen the skin. It started with a ticklish feeling and later develope into warm sensation ....

To educate myself, I start asking questions. As she massages my feet, she told me that I have headache, difficulty in sleeping and did not drink enough plain water. Ayo! She knows my secret!

Apparently, the proper massage takes about 45 minutes. This allows the masseur to detect the weak points from our feet.

Thank god it is only 20 minute massages! I thanked her for great foot job done !

Watermelon in Bahasa

A brief note...

My son (NH) loves to speak English and I love to ask/tease him in English as well.

One day, we were going through old exercise books completed by my kids. I decided to test their Bahasa vocabulary. Q&A as follow:

DD: what is Elephant in Bahasa?
NH: Gajah !
DD: Pineapple, Banana, Watermelon in Bahasa ?
NH: hmm...Nenas, Pisang and WatermeLAN !
NY: no no no...water is English...
NH: oh ya....then it should be AIRmelon !

We were hillarious of NH statement....he is pure innocent on this mater...
Later we corrected him that Watermelon is Tembikai in Bahasa.

EB Bazaar Pre-Sales

Fire drill at Office

We knew there was a fire drill because ......secret!

During the fire drill, we are to evacuate our office and gather at open space which was the nearby parking lot. I guess the office paid some fees to use the space for 1 hour !

It took us 19 minutes to evacuate the office, which for the fire brigade officers' opinion- a good time. Oh well, we did walk gracefully with our heels ! and not to break a sweat =p

After all attendance are taken by our Fire Warden (FW), we clapped our hand for the success of the event (ghee ...) and walk back to office. It took us awhile to go up, the lift was overcrowded !

National Television

National - have you heard of this brand ?

It is a good brand in old days but now they already discontinue such brand, not sure whether they are bankcrupt or has re-brand themselves.

We have this huge Sony TV which has been working fine for 6 years. Suddenly it when blank screen and left my kids looking at each other for 3 days - no cartoon to watch !

My HB decided to try fix the astro cable port into the old TV set and amazingly, we can watch astro !

So in the meantime, we watch the mini TV while waiting for Sony technician guy to turn up this Monday. Hopefully he can work wonders, otherwise, we have to start looking for new Tv (mix feelings tho.... =p )

Smart Reader Kids, Kg Pandan Concert 2008

SRK Kg Pandan concert is held at Hotel Maluri again. It is at the same hall, next to the swimming pool ;)

This year is Yasmine's graduation year and Haleef's first's concert. So it is special event for both kids. It is also the first time my HB attending the concert at Hotel Maluri.

Upon registration, parents are given a gooddy bag and kids are to get ready for the concert. Seats are numbered and we got asile seats.

6 YO kids are to make a short performance and later the principal play a video candid moments of all 6 YO kids. Afterwhich, graduation ceremony takes place. Kids look great!

Next, concert performance done by kids age 3-4 upto 6. This year is about cultural songs and the costume are colourful and bright ! When kids perform, the audience laugh till they cry !

After great performance, buffet lunch is served. Kudos to Principal Wan for a great job done! This year's concert has improved so much, keep up the good spirit and creativity.
